Now I installed Freeswitch on another Ubuntu in VirtualBox. That system runs without any problems. I can run Ekiga and other softphones. But as soon Freeswitch is started the system is using a lot of CPU so that I can't really use the system anymore. Stopping Freeswitch and everything is OK again. So I will stop here. Sorry.

Freeswitch is actually known for its light weight low CPU. I am sure something else might be going on. I run it here all the time and its hardly ever exceeding 20% (1.83 GHz) when call in progress.

I have introduced this softphone to several places and people love the portability (all settings in the same place) and TLS support, but that TLS doesn't work !

I can' belive this. Can you send me again the content of the debug window in PhonerLite? Please use the latest version of PhonerLite.

I think this is a good idea to view all and every way to debug. I'll try and see if it helps to resolve the main problem.

Also I noticed that the latest version now doesn't automatically move to TCP or UDP if TLS registration fails. I think this is very important thing and I hope this change is intentional. Please confirm.

Only if the connection itself fails, another connection type is used. If Registration itself fails, there is no change of the connection type.
